Optimise a PDF. Web, print, archive.
Different destinations need different optimisations — web needs tiny files, print needs preserved resolution, archive needs PDF/A compliance. Today the compress tool handles web + print targets and pdf-to-pdfa handles archive. A combined "optimise" UI is on the 2026 Q2 roadmap.

QUESTIONS
Is optimise the same as compress?+
Compress is one kind of optimise (smaller files). Optimise can also mean "prepare for print" (preserve colour + DPI) or "prepare for archive" (PDF/A). Use the right tool for the target.
