Annotate a PDF. Highlights, comments.
Annotation is about marking up a PDF without changing the underlying content — adding highlights, comments, and shapes that live on their own layer. On the roadmap for 2026 Q3. For flatten-into-content workflows, use the flatten tool today.

QUESTIONS
When does this ship?+
2026 Q3. Annotation needs a proper UI (tool palette, colour picker, layer management) so it gets its own sprint.
How is this different from flatten?+
Annotate adds layered, editable markup. Flatten merges those annotations permanently into the page content so they can’t be removed.
