What encryption does SnapPDF use?+
AES-256 — the strongest encryption the PDF spec supports. Same as banks and law firms use for confidential documents.
Can I add different permissions for different users?+
Owner + user password separation is on the roadmap. Current version uses a single password for both open and full-access.
Is free PDF protection secure?+
AES-256 is secure by spec. The password is the weak link — use a long random one, not "password123".
